The Aim Of This Web Site The aim with the Search Engine Dictionary web site and the accompanying book is to establish a standard for search engine terminology by creating a comprehensive glossary of search engine terms. About The Search Engine Dictionary The Search Engine Dictionary was originally authored by André le Roux of Pandecta Magazine, way back in 2003-ish. Since then it has grown significantly through user contributions. The Search Engine Dictionary is also offered as a free PDF download. After a couple of years of terrible neglect we are happy to announce that the Search Engine Dictionary is once again fully operational. New search engine terms and changes to search engine terms suggested by users will once again be processed. Thanks in advance for helping us keep this dictionary complete and up to date. How You Can Contribute & Benefit Please suggest terms for addition or suggest corrections to existing entries. In the past the Search Engine Dictionary offered links in exchange for user contributions. That was in the good ol' days. We now reserve the right to publish user submissions without linking to the user's web site, at the discretion of the Search Engine Dictionary reviewer. Acknowledgement will still be given wherever possible. As a general guideline, the Search Engine Dictionary will only link to web sites that are relevant to its users. :) Start here...
